Rail bed from Digby to Weymouth.

Went for a small ride to see how the conditions on the rail bed were. Thought it might be wet, but it wasn't really at all. There were only about 2 or 3 large puddles. It would seem it drained off quite well.
It's not a bad time riding along the rail bed. It's quiet and you can ride along without even seeing anyone usually. Even those dumbass quad riders weren't out tearing up the trail like normal.
I know most folks ride the ATV's responsibly but some don't and just tear it up and act like idiots.
So here is the quick map of the trail bed. Some of the gps data missed the actual trail as it must have lost the lock somewhat. I'll have to put it somewhere better next time.

I will ride more of the trail and post it up here so folks who want to ride it will know where it goes and where you will end up.

This is the start of the trail above. This is off the 217 HWY just outside of Digby.

This is where you come across the 101 highway. It's not bad. It looks worse than it is as it looks steep but just go for it and you will be fine.

This is where you cross the road in Jordan Town. You can see a quad on the trail just ahead of me. They were the only folks I saw today in 20 miles of riding.

The trail signs you will see along the route. Most of it is 50Km/h . But you can go faster as there are some very long straight stretches where you can see a long way ahead.

Another road crossing. Most of the trail looks like this with nice even gravel. A few potholes or bumps are around but take your time and you will be fine.

Here is a nice little stream and I have seen some folks fishing here before. Maybe some small brook trout I would think. It's a nice spot and the brook sounds nice and you could just sit and soak up the sounds of the birds and water and have a few minutes to yourself.

This is a nice lake along the way. I think this is Delaps Lake near Weymouth. I forgot to enable GPS in the camera. Ooops.

This is where you come out in Weymouth. Looking ahead from the trail.

This is looking to the left from the trail, into Weymouth itself.
From here you have to ride on the road for a bit to get to the next rail bed portion as the river cuts the trail. The railway bridges were very old and they took them down.

This is the entrance to the next portion of the rail bed trail. I will get on it in a few and GOS it and take some photos for you. It will take you all the way to Yarmouth if you want.

Thanks for looking.
